Powering Up for Peter: The Story Behind Data Valley Electric
Our journey to establish Data Valley Electric didn’t begin in a boardroom or with a grand business plan — it began with a friend in need.
In 2023, Peter Ramirez, a former U.S. Marine and competitive Jiu-Jitsu athlete, suffered a devastating injury which left him paralyzed from the neck down. His life changed in an instant, and so did ours.
Turning Compassion into Action
To help Peter’s recovery, we made shirts with the slogan “Powering Up for Peter.”, raising over $60,000 towards his future care. The slogan was more than just words—it showed what we stand for: dedication, honesty, and helping others in need.
When Peter’s family asked for help making his home accessible, we transformed his basement into a safe and comfortable space for his recovery.
We used every spare moment to build Peter’s home and start our business, all while working full-time as electricians.
The turning point came when Peter’s doctors required a licensed and insured electrician to install a special Hoyer lift system. That is when our efforts grew into something bigger–we realized we had to start our own business.
In the midst of the situational whirlwind, Data Valley Electric was established.
